Homemade Guacamole

This homemade guacamole is fresh, simple, and full of flavor. Made with ripe avocados, lime juice, and a handful of fresh ingredients, it comes together in minutes and is perfect for serving with chips or alongside your favorite meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 ripe avocados halved and pitted
  • ½ red onion diced (optional)
  • or onion powder, to taste
  • 1 Roma tomato diced (guts removed)
  • 1 jalapeño diced (seeds removed)
  • Small handful of fresh cilantro diced
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Minced garlic to taste
  • Drizzle of olive oil
  • Salt to taste

Method
 

  1. Add the avocados to a medium-size bowl.
  2. Add the diced red onion (or onion powder if using), tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, lime juice, minced garlic, and olive oil.
  3. Mash everything together using a spoon or potato masher until desired consistency is reached.
  4. Season with salt to taste and stir to combine.
  5. Serve immediately with chips and enjoy.

Notes

  • Adjust lime juice and salt to taste.
  • For smoother guacamole, mash longer; for chunkier guacamole, mash lightly.
  • Best served fresh.
